No one knows the origin of Mark Mottonen. What we do know is that anthropologists found a young Mark deep in the forests of the Rocky Mountains. Like a story from a childrens fable he was being raised by a pack of dogs. From the cursory observations the scientists did, their best guess is they were a cross between Irish Setters and Scottish Terriers. Still being too small to hunt with the rest of the pack, Mark often found entertainment banging on fallen trees, old hollow logs and rocks.

After scientists brought him back to civilization word got around quickly that he played a mean set of drums. Soon many of the worlds greatest drummers sought out his tutelage. So that they too could get with that crazy jungle beat. However, regular Rock and Roll quickly bored the budding Mark. Then some one, whose name is lost to the ages, introduced him to Jazz.

Now, while jazz continues to drive his musical heart, Mark finds the high energy of Celtic Rock speaks to his primitive upbringing.
